Spielwarenmesse 2025: Tamiya inspires with impressive new products

The Spielwarenmesse 2025 in Nuremberg was a real highlight for model making and RC fans. There were numerous exciting new products to discover at the Tamiya stand, which will delight beginners and professionals alike.

NXGEN (Next Gen) Fighter Buggy - The successor to the Neo Fighter (300058741)

One of the most exciting unveilings was the NXGEN Fighter Buggy. This car is the successor to the popular Neo Fighter and impresses with a modern plastic body in a scale buggy look. The variable wheelbase technology is particularly impressive: the vehicle can be extended from 265 mm to 280 mm by turning the front wishbones. The innovative battery change mechanism also ensures easy handling. The equipment is top: oil pressure shock absorbers, electronic speed control and a powerful motor are already included. To round off the look, the driver figure in the buggy is a must.

TRF 104 - High-end formula chassis (300042389)

Tamiya has introduced the TRF 104 chassis for racing enthusiasts. The model consists mainly of carbon and aluminum and offers a fully adjustable front axle. The rear axle suspension with aluminum oil pressure shock absorbers, carbon rear axle, ball differential, aluminum engine mount is not only a real gem, but also fully adjustable and not only for the ambitious racer.

There are also exciting updates in the area of road models. Particularly noteworthy is the detailed Porsche 911 GT3R from the 992 model series, the body is in an elegant black and red launch car design. Another highlight is the Audi 90 Quattro Racing, which impresses with its brute width and realistic replica, as well as the original vehicle

Classics in a new guise - Rally & Touring Cars (300058748; 300058746)

TAMIYA is also launching new versions of well-known classics on the market. The VW Golf GTI 16V has been converted to the MB-01 chassis with front engine and front-wheel drive as a road version. There is also a comeback of the Peugeot 306 Maxi on the new BT-01 chassis with several wheelbase options. BMW and MINI fans can rejoice: After an absence of more than ten years, TAMIYA will once again be gradually introducing models from BMW and MINI - including the legendary E30 M3. The first step in this line is the Mini Cooper Racing on the new MB-01 chassis with short wheelbase, front engine and front-wheel drive.

Military model building - Leopard 2A7V as RC model (300056047)

In the military sector, there was an impressive presentation of the Leopard 2A7V on a scale of 1:16. The RC model comes as a complete kit including electronics, sound and light module as well as an integrated weapon stabilization, which fixes the gun barrel despite ground movements. A must-have for military model fans!

Model making classics: Jägermeister Porsche 962C (300024372)

Another highlight was the reissue of the Jägermeister Porsche 962C in 1:24 scale. The body is already pre-colored in orange, and the mold has been revised for even more detail. The perfect car for collectors.

Scania 720S 4x2 - Innovations in the truck sector (300056379)

Truck fans also get their money's worth: the Scania 720S 4x2 appears with revised details, new sun visors and a light box on the high roof. The model can be optionally equipped with an MFC control unit for light and sound effects.

Conclusion

At the Spielwarenmesse 2025, Tamiya once again proved why they are one of the leading brands in model making. Whether RC buggies, high-end racing cars, realistic military vehicles or detailed stand models - there was something for every model making fan.
