Paint Retarder Lacquer 40ml, paint additive

Paint Retarder Lacquer 40 ml is a lacquer paint additive that slows drying so the paint has more time to flow out on the surface. In model finishing, that longer open time helps the coat settle more evenly across panels, body shells and other detailed parts where streaks or patchy gloss can stand out under light. The formula is intended for use with lacquer paints, and the label states a maximum mixing ratio of 10% retarder to paint. The liquid is clear and comes in a square glass bottle with a ribbed screw cap that supports measured dispensing in small quantities. The safety data lists a density of 0.94 g/ml at 20 °C, a flash point of 67 °C and a boiling range of 174 to 188 °C. It is slightly soluble in water and should be handled with adequate ventilation. The label also states that the cap should be closed tightly after use and that the contents must be kept away from heat, sparks and open flames. On a workbench, the additive fits naturally into paint mixing before brush painting or airbrushing small model sections, especially where a smoother laid-down coat matters. It also suits finishing sessions that focus on glossy surfaces, trim parts or other areas where controlled flow and a more even sheen are the goal.
