1:48 PzKpfw. 38(t) Ausf. E/F, plastic model kit

This 1:48 scale plastic model kit captures the WWII PzKpfw. 38(t) Ausf. E/F, a German light tank derived from the LT vz. 38 and used as a front-line vehicle in the early years of the war. The compact hull, riveted surfaces and turreted layout give the finished model the distinct silhouette seen in operations from Poland through Operation Barbarossa. The Ausf. E/F version represented here reflects the reinforced armor arrangement introduced on this variant, with doubled front armor thickness at 50 mm and 30 mm on the hull and turret sides. Armament on the original vehicle combined a 37 mm gun with 90 rounds on board, plus a coaxial 7.92 mm MG37(t) machine gun and another machine gun on the front left of the hull. The full-size tank used a 6-cylinder engine and reached 42 km/h, details that place the model firmly within the technical character of the historical vehicle. Assembly time is stated as 600 minutes. On the bench, the model suits careful painting, weathering and display finishing, with the turret hatch figure and the 522 marking helping build a more specific wartime scene. Paints, cement and tools are required separately.
