1:48 SdKfz.181 Tiger I, plastic model kit

This 1:48 plastic model assembly kit recreates the SdKfz.181 Tiger I Early Production in a compact format that still carries the unmistakable presence of the original heavy tank. At 175 mm long and 77 mm wide, the model brings the long 88 mm gun, broad hull and tall turret into a size that suits careful bench work as well as finished display. The lower hull uses separate lower and side sections rather than a one-piece die-cast tub, giving the build a different construction approach in this release. H parts for the lower hull derive from Item 32575, while the turret E parts and upper hull F parts based on Item 32504 are modified for plastic parts assembly. That layout gives the build a clear structure across hull, turret and running gear, with assembly type tracks that use 1-piece straight sections to support clean placement along the longer track runs. Metal chassis weights add mass inside the model, reinforcing the solid feel once the tank is complete. Two marking options are included for distinct battalion finishes: the 503rd Heavy Panzer Battalion in a 3-color camouflage pattern or the 502nd Heavy Panzer Battalion in overall Dark Yellow. Assembly time is stated as 600 minutes. Paints, cement and tools are required separately.
