The 1:14 Grand Hauler brings long-nose American tractor truck style into a large R/C assembly kit with a stretched 692 x 190 x 300 mm format, custom-inspired bodywork and a detailed heavy-duty chassis. Newly designed front and rear bumpers, a fresh grille, air cleaners and metal-tube muffler covers give the truck the longer, show-truck proportions described in the series concept.
Under the body, the ladder frame uses aluminum side channels and resin cross members to mirror full-size truck construction in scale form. A front-mounted motor sends power to the twin rear axles through a realistic drivetrain layout, and the 3-speed transmission can be operated through a 4-channel R/C transmitter for more involved control than a single-speed setup. Metal leaf spring dampers with built-in coil springs add another mechanical layer to the suspension design. The kit also contains a newly designed 1:14 driver figure, adding a fitted cab detail that suits the truck's display presence between running sessions. Radio gear, a battery pack, a charger and paints are required separately.
The included coupler opens the way to pairing the tractor unit with currently available Tamiya 1:14 scale trailers, turning the finished truck into a working road-haul combination. On the bench, the mix of metal parts, metal-plated resin parts and truck-specific detailing creates a build centered on chassis structure, drivetrain layout and customized exterior character.

Sind die aufkleber auf ein trägerpapier Folie?
Bei meine ersten Versuche habe ich die erste karoserie versaut und wurde der Lack mit abgerissen und laut Plan soll träger Papier sein was sich nicht löst vom Haupt Sticker

die Aufkleber sind keine „Folie auf Folie“, sondern klassische Abziehbilder/Sticker mit Trägerpapier (Backing). Du löst dabei nur den eigentlichen Sticker vom Trägerpapier – das Trägerpapier selbst bleibt stabil und soll nicht vom Sticker „abgezogen“ werden. Wenn beim Ablösen Lack mit hochkommt, war die Lackschicht noch nicht vollständig durchgehärtet oder der Untergrund nicht optimal vorbereitet.

Unboxing review and tips for the build.
Even though I still have to build this truck,I already did an unboxing and had a closer look at all parts.
First the prize of all tamiya semi trucks RC kits,remember when you want a finished model with most options,the total costs will double quickly by adding most features on the truck(but that's of course optional).
Just the grand hauler kit it self is a high quality kit for a reasonable prize.
Construction wise pretty similar like mine Mercedes Actros 1/14 rc,
But the looks of this grand hauler are so much nicer.
Even though this kit is adviced for more experienced modelers,Tamiyas instructions are the best in the businnes so if you already take your time by studying the instruction from A to Z and back including extra parts needed to finish this truck,receiver,battery,paints etc.
Tamiya also shows you a one to one scale of all screws and other small parts so you can't go wrong.
By labeling all trees and organizing all you parts in sections first,get familiar with the parts helps so much with the build.
Plan jour paint job a head before you start screwing the first parts.
(Metal parts/primers,colour sceme/glosses finishes.Hard body spraying cans or airbrushing.)these trucks have a lot of parts!!
Plan your electronics also before,make sure everything works properly,before installing,servo.s,MFC,engine,transmitter etc.
This is my first impression of the kit,
Last tip I can give you,these trucks are designed for fully operations,the thing is just that when they are finished they are to beautifull to drive on the open road or racing,that's why most of this trucks live there live in a show cabinet.
For more driving fun/racing look for something different and less complex to build,Tamiya has a huge range of other models also.
