The 1:14 King Hauler captures the look of a classic American conventional tractor truck in a large RC truck kit with a long hood, sleeper cab proportions and a substantial 630 mm overall length. Chrome-look exterior parts, dual rear axles and the stretched 447 mm wheelbase give the model the stance of a full-size highway hauler as it rolls across asphalt, concrete or a workshop floor.
At the center of the build is a metal C-channel ladder frame that carries the drivetrain and suspension in a layout drawn from real truck construction. The 540 motor sends power through a 3-speed gearbox, and the stepped ratios of 32.49:1, 17.76:1 and 10.66:1 create distinctly different running characteristics. Front and rear tread measurements of 156 mm and 138 mm shape the truck's planted footprint, while 22 mm tyre width and 83 mm tyre diameter keep the proportions true to the scale format. Each axle is supported by leaf springs and shocks, adding mechanical realism to the chassis structure as well as movement detail during operation.
The King Hauler suits careful bench assembly, display between running sessions and road-style RC driving with or without an optional trailer. Radio gear, a battery pack and a charger are required separately.
