The DT-03 CVA Damper Set Short/Mini brings oil-filled suspension action to a range of Tamiya off-road chassis cars, replacing basic friction-style movement with a more refined damper setup. With 2 mini shock units and 2 short shock units, the set equips 1 complete chassis and gives front and rear suspension the controlled compression and rebound needed for cleaner handling on loose ground and uneven sections.
Inside the set are the parts for 4 assembled dampers, including damper bodies, piston rods, springs, seals and hardware. During assembly, oil is added to each cylinder and the piston is moved slowly to release trapped air before the cap is tightened, creating the internal damping effect that defines the CVA design. Separate front and rear assemblies use different parts and oil seals, and spring spacers are fitted to adjust preload after the springs are installed. The dampers mount to the chassis in the same way as the standard kit units, so the upgrade stays focused on suspension behavior rather than a change in layout.
Compatibility covers DT-03, DT-03T, DT-02, TT-02B and DF-02 chassis cars, which makes the set useful for repair, replacement or tuning across several established platforms. On a buggy or off-road build, that means a more settled response through bumps, jumps and rough sections where suspension consistency shapes how the chassis tracks and lands.
