The TD2/TD4 Alum. BigBore Rear Damper set brings a larger aluminum oil damper layout to the rear suspension, with 2 dampers built around threaded bodies, 40.7 mm piston rods and a full set of internal sealing parts. During assembly, the piston is filled with damper oil and moved slowly through the cylinder to release trapped air, giving the aeration design its working basis before the cap is secured.
Inside each damper, the build uses O-rings in 2 mm, 3 mm, 6.5 mm, 11.5 mm and 14 mm sizes, plus 4 x 0.1 mm and 3 x 0.2 mm shims to support sealing and internal spacing. Two piston types are provided, with 1.6 mm and 1.7 mm holes, so the oil flow setup can be chosen during the build rather than fixed to one specification. Spacers are used to adjust rebound stroke and damper attachment position, adding another layer of chassis setup detail. Spring retainers and spring adjusters complete the upper section, while screws in 3 x 18 mm, 3 x 15 mm and 3 x 12 mm sizes support mounting.
On the bench, this set suits careful suspension rebuilding, oil filling and setup changes between running sessions. Damper oil and coil springs are separately available, and the assembled dampers are intended for TD2 and TD4 rear suspension use.
