The XV-02/TD2 Alum. BigBore Fr. Damper set adds a focused front suspension upgrade with 2 aluminum aeration dampers built for oil-filled operation. Big bore cylinders increase internal oil capacity, and the aeration design works by moving the piston through oil while air is bled during filling, supporting a more consistent damping feel through repeated runs.
Each damper is built around a 40.7 mm piston rod and uses sealing components including 6.5 mm, 11.5 mm and 14 mm O-rings, plus 3 mm red O-rings and shims in the rod guide section. Two piston types are supplied, with 1.6 mm and 1.7 mm holes, so the internal flow characteristic can be selected during assembly. The set also includes 3 x 18 mm, 3 x 15 mm and 3 x 12 mm screws, 5 mm ball connector nuts, 3 x 2 mm and 3 x 1 mm spacers for adjustment, and 2 x 5 mm cap screws. Damper oil and coil springs are required separately.
During setup, oil is filled into the cylinder, the piston is moved slowly to release air bubbles, and the cap is fitted before excess oil and air are removed. Spacers can then be used to alter rebound stroke or mounting position, making this set useful for rebuild work, maintenance, or front-end tuning on compatible RC chassis.
