XV-01/T Front Universal Shaft Set 42mm

The XV-01/T Front Assy. Univ. Shaft 42mm set upgrades the front drivetrain of compatible Tamiya cross platform chassis with 42 mm universal shafts that transmit drive more efficiently than dog-bone style parts. Installed at the front axle, the universal joint layout supports steadier wheel engagement through suspension and steering movement while helping the drivetrain stay connected during contact. The set contains 2 driveshafts, 2 wheel axles and 2 cross joints for a left and right front conversion. The shaft assemblies use a jointed construction that reduces the tendency of conventional dog-bone shafts to dislodge on impact, a useful change for running on mixed road surfaces where the front end is working constantly under steering input. Compatibility is stated for XV-01 and XV-01T chassis. XV-01 TC chassis models are excluded from fitment. On a rally or road setup based on the XV-01 platform, this front-end upgrade focuses on the area that sees repeated steering angle changes and surface variation.
