Fine Surface Primer L in Oxide Red is a spray primer designed for model surfaces and sized for repeated workshop use with its 180 ml can. The oxide red shade suits AFV subjects such as tanks especially well, because it creates a believable base layer for finishes that show wear, exposed edges and worked metal. The formula is intended for plastic and metal, so the same can can prepare different parts within one build before colour coats are added. Its fine spray pattern helps the primer settle across flat armour plates, curved sections and small raised details with a more uniform starting layer. When chipping and weathering techniques remove parts of the top coat, the red oxide undercoat remains visible in a way that matches the look often associated with military vehicles.
