Tamiya welcomes another racing car – this time, the Audi R8 LMS 2008 – paired with our popular TT- 02 chassis. Based upon the Audi sportscar R8 and conforming to GT3 regulations, the Audi R8 LMS was announced in 2008. A 5.2-liter V10 midship engine capable of over 500hp was mounted in a lightweight aluminum space frame. Body sections were modified, and the drivetrain was changed from 4WD to a rear-wheel drive system. From 2009 onward, this car was delivered to racing teams around the world and achieved many racing successes. Required accessories (not included): RC System with Receiver, Servo; 7.2V NiMH Battery Pack, Charger, Paints for Polycarbonat Body (Tamiya PS-XX). 4WD assembly kit, TT-02 Chassis, ESC included, Type 540 Torque- Tuned Motor, Polycarbonat-body. From its first appearance in 1974, the Volkswagen Golf has continued to develop and lead the worldwide compact car class. In 1986, the Golf II GTI 16V was added to the second-generation model Golf II lineup which had made its debut in 1983. With a 1,781cc inline-4 DOHC 16-valve engine, a tuned car took part in global rally races, in 1986 becoming class champion. The 2WD BT-01 chassis – which offers choices of FF/MR/FR drive system – welcomes another R/C kit; this time, a short wheelbase, midship rear motor / rear wheel drive (MR) setup with the body which recreates the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8. The Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 is a legend of the Porsche 911 series. Developed to join European GT races in 1973, it employed a 2,687cc horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine capable of 210hp, a lightweight body with improved aerodynamics, and wide rear tires. The Carrera RSR 2.8 racing version increased displacement to 2,808cc and output to over 300hp; in 1973, it was a European GT race champion and took numerous global victories. BT-01 Chassis The 2WD BT-01 chassis gives a choice of two types of wheelbase, and front- or rear- wheel drive system. Without removing battery pack, motor and R/C equipment setups from the center frame, simply change attachment directions of final gears and steering linkage to switch between front- and rear-wheel drive; front (FR) or midship rear (MR) motor position can be chosen for rear-wheel drive cars. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features symmetrical structure and friction dampers. Unitized sections such as motor mount, final gears and suspension facilitate ease of assembly and effective maintenance. The Body is Pre-Painted in PS-1 White and PS-31 Smoke (Windows). 2WD assembly kit, BT-01 Chassis, multi-motor-positions, ESC included, Type 540 Motor, Polyacarbonate body prepainted, Manual. Warning!
