The TT-01/DF-02 Ball Differential Set is an RC drivetrain upgrade designed to add a limited slip differential effect to compatible chassis. When 1 driven wheel loses contact with the surface, the ball differential helps maintain drive instead of letting power fade away, which supports steadier acceleration on mixed grip sections and uneven ground.
This is an assembly-type differential set, and the included gearbox joints form part of the build. The mechanism is adjusted by tightening the 2x10 mm cap screw until the ring gear does not slip, then backing off within an adjustment range of up to 1 turn from the fully tightened position. During adjustment, the 2x5 mm cap screw is removed and then tightened again to prevent loosening. The instruction material also identifies parts such as disk springs, a ball thrust bearing, an 850 metal bearing, a screw bushing and a pressure plate cap, showing the internal layout of the unit and how the rotating parts are aligned.
Fitment covers TT-02, TT-02 Type-S, TT-02D, TT-01 Type-E, TT-01 Type-ES, TT-01D Type-E, DF-02 and TT-02B chassis. For TT-02 Type-S, use with Item 53806 TT-01 Ball Differential Cup Joint for Universal Shaft. For TT-02B, MB16 6 mm O-rings are used in different positions depending on front or rear installation.
