It was available as a roadster and as a fastback coupé – introduced in March 1965. The S600 was the first Honda available in two trim levels. During its production run up to 1966, the model styling would remain pretty much the same, with the most notable changes coming to the front grille, bumper, and headlights. The S600 got 57hp out of a 606cc 4-cylinder DOHC engine that could hold its own compared with racing engines, and it featured a motorcycle style chain-driven rear wheel drive. Exports to Europe followed as the S600 quickly gained respect, gaining popularity as a highly lightweight and speedy sports car. It was also to prove a success in races both inside and outside of Japan. Over the years, various models of the 911 have been released, including the 1998 Le Mans-winning 911 GT1. In 1999, the "heart" of that automotive masterpiece, the water-cooled flat-six engine, was inherited by the Porsche 911 GT3. The brainchildren behind that machine are Porsche's development engineers in Weissach, who imbued it with superior agility and handling, without compromising active safety. Capable of accelerating to 100km/h in a mere 4.8 seconds, and with a top speed of 302km/h, the GT3 achieved a new record for production cars when it completed a lap on the northern circuit of Nuerburgring in only 7.56 minutes. The exterior appearance of the GT3 remains true to that of its predecessors, but features a new rear end, discreet side-sills, fixed rear wing, red brake calipers and sporty 18-inch light-alloy wheels. Compared with the 911 Carrera, the four-piston aluminum fixed monobloc brake calipers are larger and sturdier than before, and tightly grip the perforated brake discs. The GT3 cockpit is true reflection of its performance. It features leather-covered bucket seats, which ensure not only ample side support, but also comfort on long journeys and provide about 20kg of weight savings. And since the entire rear-seat section of the car has been dropped, the overall weight of the GT3 was reduced by another 8kg-a true benefit for a sports car of this performance level. Subaru was the first team to take advantage of the leeway, bringing out the Impreza WRC. That machine featured all aluminum horizontal four cylinder turbo engine paired with a vertically mounted gearbox. The layout placed the gearbox in a balanced position behind the front axle, heightening manerverability and ultimately contributing to a Mnufactures Championship for that year. The bulk of the improvements to the 1999 model centered around the engine and gearbox. Foremost was the adoption of an electronically controlled throttle system. This system converts the position of the throttle in to electronic signals, heightening throttle response. The Impreza WRC was also equipped with a 6-speed, semi-automatic gearbox. This system enables sudden shifting, such as from 6th to 1st gear. Work is also continuing on the development of an electronically controlled damper system. The Impreza WRC is driven by J. Kankkunen, R. Burns and B. Thiry. Kankkunen and Burns finished in 1st and 2nd place respectively at both the 7th Argentina Rally and the 10th Finland Rally. The 8th Acropolis Rally was also taken by Burns, setting the scene for an intense contest in the latter half of the season.

One of the most popular rides in the park, it sported a red frame under a white gas tank, tiny 5 inch tires and a peppy 50cc engine. Riders were said to appear, of all things, simian, and henceforth the motorcycle came to be known as the Honda Monkey. Looking more like a toy than a motorcycle, the compactness and fresh appearance of the Monkey scored high with fans of all ages. Honda revamped the Z100 park version for use on public roads, and brought out the CZ100 model which began to be exported in 1963. The first model to be marketed in Japan was the improved Z50M Monkey, which featured folding handlebars and seat for easy stowing in a passenger car. In January 2000, Honda brought out the 2000 anniversary edition of the Monkey, which sported the image coloring of the 1971 Z50Z(2) model. The production of this special Monkey was limited to 3000 motorcycles. The continued appeal of the Monkey must be both its diminutive size and ease of customization. Each Monkey owner is free to interchange any number of components including the engine parts, carburetor, exhaust pipe and suspension.
