The Subaru Impreza WRC 2008 RC body set brings the shape of Subaru's final factory-era WRC contender to 1:10 touring car builds with a clear polycarbonate shell sized at 434 mm long, 188 mm wide and a 257 mm wheelbase. Its rally profile, roof scoop, rear wing and widened arches give a chassis a competition look that stands out on the bench and on the track.
The set is supplied as a body kit with stickers and masking seals, so paint lines, window areas and race graphics can be finished with clean separation. H and J detail parts cover the mirrors and lightcases in black ABS resin, and one side of the lightcases is metal plated for a brighter trim effect. The shell is intended for compatible touring and rally chassis, and wide rear treads on some platforms need to be changed to narrow treads for correct fitment. Short wheelbase chassis machines are not suitable.
Compatibility extends across numerous Tamiya platforms, including TT-01, TT-01 Type-E and DF-03Ra chassis machines, making this shell a useful second body for drivers who run more than one car. On a painted and decaled build, the 2008 WRC form suits rally-inspired display between runs just as well as active chassis use at club sessions.
