Based upon the Porsche 911 GT3 (released as our 1/10 R/C kits – Items 58712 and 47496), in July 2022, the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) was announced as a car which was developed to conform to GT3 regulations. With a horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine capable of 565ps, this car features lightweight body (only about 1,250kg) with carbon fiber, and flourished at global races such as NLS (Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie) 2024 and 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS. The 2WD BT-01 chassis – which offers choices of FF/MR/FR drive system – welcomes another R/C kit; this time, a short wheelbase, midship rear motor / rear wheel drive (MR) setup with the body which recreates the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8. The Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 is a legend of the Porsche 911 series. Developed to join European GT races in 1973, it employed a 2,687cc horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine capable of 210hp, a lightweight body with improved aerodynamics, and wide rear tires. The Carrera RSR 2.8 racing version increased displacement to 2,808cc and output to over 300hp; in 1973, it was a European GT race champion and took numerous global victories. BT-01 Chassis The 2WD BT-01 chassis gives a choice of two types of wheelbase, and front- or rear- wheel drive system. Without removing battery pack, motor and R/C equipment setups from the center frame, simply change attachment directions of final gears and steering linkage to switch between front- and rear-wheel drive; front (FR) or midship rear (MR) motor position can be chosen for rear-wheel drive cars. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features symmetrical structure and friction dampers. Unitized sections such as motor mount, final gears and suspension facilitate ease of assembly and effective maintenance. The R34 was the 5th generation of the legendary Nissan GT-R series of cars; it debuted at the 2005 Tokyo Auto Salon. The Z-Tune version was an even more impressive beast; developed by Nissan's in-house motorsports/ performance division NISMO, it was built around a 500hp 2.8-liter powerplant that could reach 8,000rpm. It also featured SACHS adjustable suspension and brakes developed in conjunction with Brembo. NISMO also went to work on the body, with racing features such as vents and wider fenders than the original. The body color was the aptly-named Z-Tune Silver, applied specially for this car. With only 20 production cars made, getting your hands on one is a difficult task, but you can pilot it in R/C form with this model! The R33 was the fourth generation of the famous Nissan Skyline GT-R; the RB26DETT 2.6-liter inline-6 engine was a carryover from its R32 predecessor, and this time the twin turbo powerplant was fitted with a 16-bit engine control unit. The vehicle was 13cm longer than the R32, with a wheelbase extended by 10.5cm. The body was also widened and strengthened, and given an adjustable rear spoiler.
