1:35 WWII Sdkfz.251/1 Halft. Hanomag (5)
300035020€22.99
Article number: 300035020 Product: 1/35 WWII Sdkfz.251/1 Halbk. Hanomag (5) In 1938, the German Army decided to develop an armoured personnel carrier on the basis of the 3-ton half track (HL-KL-9p). Hanomag Hannoversch Machinenbau (AG) in Hannover was ordered to develop the running gear and Bussing-NAG in Berlin was to develop the superstructure to be armoured. Design work was hastened on the model of existing armoured cars and a prototype was completed at the end of 1938. The Germans tested the prototype in the Kumahsdorf Proving Ground and accepted it for mass production. Thus was born the Armoured Personnel Carrier Hanomag Sdkfz 251/1 which, we may safely say, was a synonym for the German mechanized corps that showed activity in all battlefields throughout the war.

1:35 Ger. Kingtiger Ardennen Fro. (3)
300035252€59.99
Article number: 300035252 Product: 1:35 Ger. Kingtiger Ardennen Fro. (3) Development of the massive King Tiger began in February 1943 to counter the increasing threat of Russian Tanks. A more powerful cannon was added, upgrading from the L56, 88mm of the Tiger I to the Type 43 L71, 88mm high velocity gun. The chassis front armor was 150mm thick with 80mm thick side armor. The Henschel and Porsche companies came up with rival turret prototypes. After the trial production of 50 tanks with the Porsche turret, the Henschel design, with its extremely thick armor that measured 185mm on the front and 88mm on the side panels, was adopted for mass production. The Henschel turret itself was revised mid-way through production, from a stepped gun mantle to a smooth one. Due to the havoc wreaked by the King Tiger I during the final German offensive on the Ardennes front in December of 1944, the Allied forces that moved in on Berlin would fear the King Tiger up until the very last day of the war. As for the DKW NZ350 military motorcycle, production began in 1940. However, this German military motorcycle experienced mid-production changes when resources became limited towards the end of the war. DKW NZ350s at that time were seen with smaller headlights and thinned-out fenders. About the Model ★Tamiya presents a 1/35 scale model of the German King Tiger as it appeared during the final German offensive in the Ardennes Forest of Belgium. ★Total length: 294mm, total width: 108mm. ★>Henschel design turret recreated in superb detail. ★Kit includes parts for two different types of gun mantles- stepped and smooth. ★Turret's rear escape hatch can be opened and closed after assembly. All other hatches can be assembled in the open or closed positions. ★Kit includes DKW NZ350 German Military Motorcycle recreated as it appeared during the latter stages of World War II with smaller headlight and thinned-out fender. ★Three figures included: Tank commander and orderly wearing leather jackets, and tank crewman. 1/35 Ger. Panther Ausf.D
300035345€59.99
Article number: 300035345 Procuct: 1/35 Ger. Panther Ausf.D The latest addition to the 1/35 Military Miniature Series depicts the German Panther, a WWII AFV developed by Germany to combat the mighty Russian T-34. Given the importance of stopping the T-34 as the Russians turned the tide in WWII, the Panther was a priority and this was emphasized by armored warfare guru Heinz Guderian's role in the design process. The Panther packed a powerful L/70 7.5cm gun (rumored to have taken out a T-34 at 3km) and combined it with excellent mobility and a 55km/h top speed. Just as importantly, it made great use of T-34-inspired sloped armor, up to 80mm in places. As things turned out, development of the Panther was rushed as the German situation worsened, and this led to severe reliability problems in engagements such as the Battle of Kursk in July 1943. Despite that, it proved offensively and defensively highly capable. The Ausf.D was the initial variant of the Panther; 842 were manufactured between January and September 1943. About the Model • This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. • This completely newly-tooled kit captures the form of the Panther Ausf.D with sloped armor, and long 7.5cm gun. Tamiya designers studied a real Panther in the Netherlands to ensure stunning accuracy. • Ausf.D-specific features such as smoke dischargers and rear panel layout are authentically depicted. • Advanced slide molding techniques ensure that turret details are accurately rendered. • Belt type tracks give an effective finish and make for a smooth assembly process. • Commander torso figure plus full body crew figure included. 3 marking options include Battle of Kursk unit. • Three detail-up parts sets are available to further enhance the realism of your model. 300035050€32.99
Article number: 300035050 Product: 1:35 Ger. Halftr. w/4-Bar.AA Gun (5) Recognising the excellent tractive force and cross-country ability of half tracks, the German Army Ordnance Bureau decided in 1932 to develop six military half tracks, from a 1-ton to a large 18-ton tractor. Different car makers were ordered to develop one of these. Krauss-Maffeir in Munich took charge of an 8-ton half tracks. Because this firm had given attention and study to half tracks since 1928, they completed a prototype, named KMm7 as early as 1933. It soon developed into the KMm8 and KMm9, and in 1936 the KMm10 was put into production. It was not until the KMm10 was born that the 8-ton half track was officially designated "Medium 8-ton Tractor (Sd.Kfz-7). The last production model, KMm11 was completed in 1938 and put into production immediately. The production of the 8-ton half track totalled about 1,200 in number by the end of World War II. One of these models was the 8-ton half track with 20mm four-barrelled AA machine gun (Sd.kfz 7/1) Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

1:35 WWII PzKpfw. II Ausf.F/G (5) SK.121
300035009€14.49
Article number: 300035009 Product: 1/35 WWII PzKpfw. II Ausf.F/G (5) SK.121 In the morning of September 1, 1939, the German forces consisting of the 3rd, 4th, 8th, 10th and the 14th Armies invaded Poland all heading for Warsaw, its capital. This was the beginning of the 2nd World War that had shaken the whole world for six years and the Germans made a good show of their war efforts at the start with this violent surprise offensive by massed air forces and mechanized ground forces in close co-ordination, the so-called "Blitzkrieg". It was none other than the Pzkpfw 11 that had played the key role in this Blitzkrieg which started with the invasion of Poland to be followed by break-through of the Maginot-line 7 months later and ended with the surrender of France. In anticipation of the delay in production of the two main strength tanks of the Pzkpfw III and the Pzkpfw IV then under development, the Ordnance Department decided in 1934 to develop a new tank instead to fill the gap. It gave specifications of the proposed new tank to the following three companies - the Mann, the Krupp and the Henschel. The specifications envisioned a tank weighing less than 10 tons and armed with 2 cm and 7.92 mm machine guns, one each. Among the designs of the rivaling three companies presented, the one by the Mann was selected and the Mann in cooperation with the Daimler-Benz developed a first tank of the a1 type in 1935. When 25 tanks of the same type were produced, the tank was officially named, "Panzer Kampfwagen II". After the first 25, another 25 tanks of the a2 type and 50 of the a3 type were produced in succession by 1936. Tanks of these 3 types thus produced were equipped each with a 6-cylinder, 130HP, May-Bach HL37 engine and credited with a maximum speed of 40km/h. However, it was decried that the horse-power was not enough and the engine was replaced with a May-Bach HL-62 one of 140 HP. The frontal armour, too, was reinforced and a new tank of the b type was produced. In 1937, the Pzkpfw II was further improved and a series of new ones of the c type were produced. The c-type tanks used 5 large sized road wheels suspended only at one end by leaf spring. This suspension system newly introduced became a common feature to all the pzkpfw II produced ever since. Also, the front portion of hull was reshaped into a more roundish form. From 1937 to the beginning of 1940, Pzkpfw II of mass production types, A, B, and C, were manufactured in great numbers. To increase their productivity's, the frontal armour plate was replaced with an angular single-piece one. Pzkpfw II with specifications described above played the key role in the Blitzkrieg. At the start of this Blitzkrieg, the German tanks numbered 2580 in all, of which nearly half amounting to 955 in number were the Pzkpfw II. In 1940, mass production of the F type was started. The new Pzkpfw II was reinforced in its frontal armour (thickened to 35mm) and side (to 20mm). However, the improvement added its weight and its overall weight reached up to 9.5 tons. The main gun was replaced with a 20mm KwK 30 machine gun. The gun used to be an anti-air MG but remodeled into a main gun for a tank. Frontal armour to cover upper hull, also, was changed into a plain single-piece plate. Further, a false look-out window beside the genuine one for the driver and another for the same were newly added. These were the distinct features of the F-type tanks. After the F-type ones, those of the final mass-production type G were produced. Their main guns were much more powerful KWK 38 MGs, and each tank of this type was fixed a sundries-box at the rear of gun turret. These two were main features that clearly distinguished the G type from the preceding ones. A series of the Pzkpfw II succeeding those of the g type were produced until those of the L type appeared. However, respective numbers of the Pzkpfw II of types produced were all small. It is true that judged by the current standard, these Pzkpfw II look quite inferior both in fire and defensive powers. But when compared with those of other countries active at the time, the Pzkpfw II should be ranked as by far the most superior one. Indeed, its nimble mobility matching well with the German application was the driving force of the spectacular victory won by the Germans at the initial period of the World War II. Warning! 1:35 Ger. Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) Lang
300035340€59.99
Article number: 300035340 Product: 1:35 Ger. Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) Lang This is a completely new model of the fearsome German tank destroyer Jagdpanzer IV Lang. It is designed from the ground up to be part of the long catalog of models offered in the Tamiya 1/35 scale line up of model kits. The original Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer was based upon the Panzer IV vehicle and used extensive sloped armor with the 48-caliber 7.5cm gun that had already proven its worth on other vehicles. In January 1944, it was decided to upgrade the Jagdpanzer IV, with the powerful 70-caliber 7.5cm anti-tank gun installed in place of the original 48-caliber weapon. This bigger gun was fitted to the Jadgpanzer IV with the intention of giving it the ability to destroy Allied tanks without even entering their weapons range. It was also the origin of the name Lang, which translates into English as "long". The (V) was applied to vehicles manufactured by the German company Vomag. 930 Jagdpanzer IV /70(V) Lang vehicles were manufactured between August 1944 and March 1945, with German forces taking advantage of the exceptional range of the gun, employing it in both defensive and ambush roles even as their military situation worsened. December 2014 marks 70 years since the Battle of the Bulge, which was effectively the final German offensive of WWII. This model is perfect and right on time to liven up late Second World War dioramas. Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Planned to be commissioned by the US military over a long period, the M1 was designed with future reforms in mind. In 1984, the M1A1 was developed with a 120mm smooth bore cannon, and a further variant the M1A1HA was later developed featuring depleted uranium armor. This then led to the M1A2, which was fitted with Intervehicular Information System (IVIS), Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer (CITV) turret and new style vision block. 1:35 WWII Ger.SdKfz.171 Panther A (2)
300035065€21.99
Article number: 300035065 Product: 1/35 WWII Dt. SdKfz.171 Panther A (2) In the beginning of 1942, in order to fight against the T-34, the German military ordered a new tank from Dymler-Benz and M.A.N. companies with the following specifications: Weight- 35 tons; speed- 60 km/h; armament 75mm long gun and armour, 60mm thick in front hull, 35mm thick in the rear and 100 mm at the front of the gun turret. Lastly, it was specified that the tank be equipped with a Maiback HL210, water-cooled, V-type 12 cylinder engine. In May of the same year, M.A.N.'s model was chosen without waiting for completion of a prototype tank. However, there were 2 important modifications. First, in order to meet the military's demand, considerably more than the original 35 ton weight was needed. Second, the military ordered a change in the thickness of the frontal armour from 60mm to 80mm. Because of these changes, the engine type had to be chanded from HL210 to HL230. Then, in order to accommodate this engine, a much better gear was needed, but mass production began without this last change, which resulted in frequent gear malfunctions and related trouble. This became the Panther's greatest defect. In the same year, Dymler-Benz and Henschel were ordered to produce the Panther. Therefore, production was greatly increased and a total of 6283 Panther Tanks were produced, second only to P2KW-4 in number. The first mass produced Panther type D was not equipped with a machine gun but after the experience of close battle. A 7.92mm MG 34 was added to the Panther's right front hull armament beginning with its type A. The special feature of the Panther was the left and right driving mechanism. This created an interchangeability of movements, using the torsion bar system. By 1944, the Panther was further improved from Type A to Type G with a change in its side shape. The Panther continued its activities against the Allied Forces throughout the latter half of the war. One of the famed battles it waged during this latter period probably is the one against the new Soviet JS II heavy tank on the eastern front. The Panther at that time, was the main strength tank of the Gross Deutschland, the strongest German Mechanized Division, under the command of General Hasso Von Manteuffel. The Panther reportedly destroyed 350 JS II tanks and 20 other armoured vehicles in the battle. It was a complete one-sided victory for the Panther and one for the book of military history. The Panther, therefore, was an extremely balanced tactical tank and should be called a masterpiece destined to bear the last glory of German war technology. It's glorious name will forever remain in the records of the 2nd World War. Since 1943, during World War II, thee appeared an unusually fast tank on the European Front that silhoueted among its German Mechanized Division. This was the "Panther" medium tank, with its formidable power of attack and fast maneuverability, that soon became an object of terror to men of the Allied Forces. If put to a question, "Which was the best German tank during the war?" The majority of the people, without hesitation will answer the name "Panther". It is known that the PZKW-IV and the Tiger-II tanks were also produced by German technology and were both outstanding tanks. But the PZKW-IV was meant to be replaced by the Panther, and the Panther, showing improved attacking and defensive powers and accurate maneuver ability on the field, soon became the German's main strength tank. The Tiger I with its 88mm gun would seem at first to be superior to the Panther's 75mm gun in attacking power. But when viewed from the point of armour piercing power of the shell, the Panther, with its 70 caliber KWK 42 anti tank gun and sloping side armour provided much stronger in actual fighting than the Tiger I's 56 caliber KWK 36 anti tank gun with vertival side armour. The Tiger II tank, which should be called the 'improved Panther' was much stronger in attacking and defensive power than the Panther. However, considering the number of Panthers produced and used during this time, the Panther tank was still number 1. The main strength German tanks at the start of the war were all unique in the sense that their designs were completely based on German plans and ideas. But the Panther was influenced by the Soviet masterpiece tank T-34 which was seen for the first time on the east European Front. Ger. Panther Med. Tank Warning! 300035346€52.99
Article number: 300035346 Product: 1/35 Sherman Easy8 EuroTheater This is an all-new kit designed by Tamiya's top designers which recreates the "Easy Eight" variant of the legendary Sherman medium tank. The M4A3E8 was known fondly as the "Easy Eight" by its crews, thanks to the relatively smooth drive afforded by its Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension (HVSS). Another distinguishing feature was its 76mm gun. Some of the 2,500 examples produced were in time to appear in the Battle of the Bulge (Dec. 1944-Jan. 1945), and others even served in the Korean War years after the Allied WWII triumph. Movie buffs will no doubt also recall that the "Easy Eight" was the star of the 2014 hit film "Fury." THE TAMIYA-DESIGNED M4A3E8 KEY FEATURES Slide molded turret and upper hull parts give an unbeatable combination of hassle-free assembly and highly realistic detail levels. Cast metal turret and welded hull surface textures are rendered accurately. The rear showcases sharp, detailed molding on engine grilles and exhausts, as well as the numerous accessories depicted by the kit. Clear parts are used to recreate light lens and cupola vision block parts, further upping the realism of this kit. The single-pin T66 tracks are recreated with minimum fuss and great accuracy, by the included belt-type tracks. Drive sprockets feature fine holes. A commander figure in realistic pose is provided for the cupola. The periscope seen on the hatch underside is depicted using separate parts. 1/35 US M10 Mid Production
300035350€52.99
Article number: 300035350 Product: 1/35 US M10 Mid Production This is a model of the famed M10 Tank Destroyer, a subject also covered in the 1/48 scale Military Miniature series. This largely newly-tooled model (only machine gun and clear parts are taken over from existing models) gives it the glorious detail of the larger 1/35 scale. The astonishing success of German armor tactics in 1940 prompted U.S. forces to adopt a doctrine requiring dedicated new tank destroyers to counter them. After going down a few different design routes at the start of the process, they eventually hit upon the highly successful M10 design with well-sloped (if rather thin, to keep the vehicle light and maneuverable) armor plate, and the highly capable 3-inch (76.2mm) gun. Over 4,900 were produced, and took part in Operation Torch (the invasion of N. Africa), as well as fighting in Italy and the advance upon Germany that would bring the exhausting conflict to a close. About the model 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 196mm, width: 88mm. Intensive study and measurement of the M10 in the tank museum at Saumur led to this highly detailed depiction of its form complete with sloped armor, right down to auxiliary armor bosses. The open top on the distinctive turret allows viewing of the 3-inch gun breech and realistic interior. Compare and contrast depictions of surface textures such as the cast mantlet and differential cover versus the welded armor plate of the turret sides and upper hull. Belt-type parts recreate T51 tracks. Driver's hatch can be attached in open or closed position, and features periscope depiction. Comes with 3 figures (commander, loader, gunner) in realistic pose, plus 2 marking options for recreating M10s belonging to the 601st and 634th U.S. Tank Destroyer Battalions Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

1/35 Valentine Mk.II/IV
300035352€49.99
Article number: 300035352 Product: 1:35 Brit. Valentine Mk. II/IV This is an all new tooled model of the British Valentine Infantry tank in 1/35 scale. British armor doctrine in the 1930s up to the outbreak of WWII called for 2 types of tank - more mobile cruiser tanks and heavy, slow infantry tanks. The Valentine was a prolifically produced example of the latter (7,315 units, more than 30% of British tank production in WWII). It was based upon existing cruiser tank designs and relatively easy to manufacture, a critical point for the British military after it had lost so much material during the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940. The Valentine would see extensive action in North Africa, particularly the Mk.II and Mk.IV variants (they had different engines) depicted by this kit. Over 4,500 were also handed over to the Soviet Union under the lend-lease agreement, the Red Army using them mainly for recon work. Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Article number: 300035358 Product: 1:35 Panzerhaubitz Wespe Italien. Front This model faithfully recreates the German Self-Propelled Howitzer Wespe. It is a classic model from within the Tamiya catalogue, but this version includes updated parts and new marking options for vehicles that fought on the Italian front. Originally designed as a stopgap, with a production run of 676, this Pz.Kpfw.II chassis-based howitzer exceeded German expectations. Intended mainly for infantry support, the Pz.Kpfw.II’s moving turret was replaced with a boxy stationary superstructure equipped with the Type 18/2 10.5cm L/28 howitzer. While the crew of 5 were not blessed with overwhelming protection, their vehicle was a mobile threat to Allied forces nonetheless.

1:35 Brit. BT. Matilda Mk.III/IV(3)
300035300€52.99
Article number: 300035300 Product: 1:35 Brit. BT. Matilda Mk.III/IV(3) At the beginning of 1930, the British army made the decision to produce tanks for different roles, with production of the A12 "Matilda" beginning in 1936. At that time, the Matilda had the thickest armor at 60mm, came armed with a 2-pounder cannon, and had thick side skirts which protected the "Japanese type" bogies. Powered by two diesel engines, the Matilda had a top speed of 24km/hr which was deemed appropriate as it matched the walking speed of infantry. At the North African front, thanks to its impenetrable armor, the Matilda completely defeated the opposing Italian forces. Because of the strength of their armor, the Germans began to use 88mm guns which were the only weapons that could penetrate the Matilda. The Matilda was used throughout WWII and was also used by Soviet, Australian, and Allied forces under the Lend-Lease Act. •This is a 1/35 assembly kit model of the British Infantry Tank Matilda which saw action atthe North African Front during WWII. •Length: 174mm, Width: 72mm. •The Matilda's mechanical form has been accurately reproduced. •The number of parts required for the assembly of the gun turret, hull, and the complicated suspension has been minimized for ease of assembly. •Tall and short cupolas and two types of antennas are included in the kit. •Assembly and belt type tracks are included. •Full-size commander figure, as well as a loader and driver torso figures are included.(Total 3) •3 kinds of decals for the North African front are included. •The Matilda would look fantastic alongside other 1/35 vehicles from the North African front such as German Armored Car Sd.Kfz.223 (Item 35268), German Kubelwagen Type82 (Item 35238), German Armored Car Sd.Kfz.222 (Item 35286), Italian Medium TankCarro Armato M13/40 (Item 35296). The Achilles was a modification of the M10s which Britain received from the U.S., with the original 3-inch main gun replaced by the fearsome British 17 pounder. The vast majority of M10s were the M10 IIC variant, which was based upon the late-production M10 with distinctive enlarged turret-rear counterweight. Around 1,000 were produced between Spring 1944 and the end of WWII, the Allied forces making good use of it after the Normandy landings, benefiting from the power of the gun which allowed it to tear through Tiger I front armor. About the Model - This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. - In-depth study of the real thing has enabled this highly accurate scale depiction of the Achilles. - Features newly-molded parts depicting the upper hull with its sloped armor, late production M10 turret counterweight, and long 17pdr gun. - Interior features excellent detail, including depictions of shell racks and multi-part 17pdr gun breech. - Comes with 3 full body figures – gunner and loader seated in the fighting compartment, and commander seated on the turret edge – plus a driver torso figure. 1:35 Fren. Tank R35
300035373€31.49
Article number: 300035373 Product: 1:35 Fren. Tank R35 Length: 114mm. A Doughty Light Tank By the 1930s French military planners could no longer ignore the obsolescence of their masterpiece FT17 tank from late WWI, and work started on a genuine successor to fill the void. One of the answers they came up with was the R35 light tank, which utilized rolled steel lower and three-piece cast upper hull designs and was armed with the short barreled 37mm gun. It was crewed by two. When hostilities with Nazi Germany burst into life in May 1940 the R35 was right in the front line. While it showed its armor was reliable, the 37mm gun was inadequate when it came to taking out German armor. The Fall of France in June 1940 meant that production of the R35 was curtailed to approximately 1,600 units. About the Model ★This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 114mm, width: 55mm. ★The R35 form with distinctive rounded hull and complex turret is accurately depicted. ★Turret utilizes slide molding for superior authenticity and a fulfiling build. ★Realistic gun elevation and traverse ranges add to the realism. ★Assembly type tracks feature one-piece straight sections for realistic depiction of upper run 'sag.' ★A single commander figure is included for installation upon the turret rear hatch. ★Comes with two early WWII marking options.

Article number: 300035282 Product: 1:35 WWII French MBT B1 bis (1) Defender of the Republic In May 1940, B1 bis tanks stood in the way of German armies determined to strike a crushing against France on her own soil. Introduced as an upgraded version of the original Char B1, which was developed in the nineteen twenties, the B1 bis entered production in 1937. The rivet-joined hull mounted a short-barreled 75mm howitzer, while a small, one-man turret carried a longer-barreled 47mm tank gun. The B1 bis was one of the most heavily armored tanks of its time, with plating that was 60mm thick in places, more than capable of defending against anti-tank fire such as that from 37mm Pak guns. The B1 bis could more than hold its own against individual German tanks, and was greatly feared by enemy soldiers who encountered it. About the Model ★1/35 scale assembly model of the French B1 bis ★Realistically depicts tank's tall profile, 75mm gun and side armor panels covering suspension mechanisms. ★Hull parts are made using slide molding and feature accurately depicted hex bolts. ★Newly-designed track parts require no cement to assemble and snap together easily by hand. ★Commander's and driver's periscopes are moveable, as is the 75mm main gun. ★Choice of two types of fenders and exhausts, combined with 4 sets of markings allows construction of each possible combination. ★Includes realistic metal tow-chain, and 1 tank commander figure. ★Comes with colorful painting guide and four types of marking decals. ★Reverse side of painting guide features an exciting article about the exploits of B1 bis tanks facing German Panzers Warning! 1:35 French Med. Tank SOMUA S35
300035344€55.99
Article number: 300035344 Product: 1:35 French Med. Tank SOMUA S35 The SOMUA S35 was a French Cavalry tank of the Second World War. It was manufactured from 1936 until 1940 to equip armored divisions of the Cavalry. For its day it was a relatively agile medium-weight tank, superior in armor and armament to both its French and foreign competitors, such as the contemporary versions of the German Panzerkampfwagen III. It was constructed from well-sloped, mainly cast, armor sections, that however made it expensive to produce and time-consuming to maintain. While not given a chance to show its full effectiveness during the Battle of France in 1940, the SOMUA showed up strongly in a number of battles with German forces and indeed was used by German forces after the French defeat and even by the Allies after the liberation of France in 1944. It was among the first French tanks developed for use as a cavalry tank, as opposed to the previous infantry roles the tank was largely restricted to under French military doctrine. A cast metal body with armor up to 56mm thick gave excellent protection from German guns, and offensively it could rely on a powerful 47mm gun that repeatedly tore through German tanks. All in all, some 430 SOMUA S35s were produced. Model kit, Scale 1:35, Vehicle, 1 Figure, Manual, Decal, Length 153 mm.

Article number: 300035370 Product: 1:35 Ger. Marder I Tank Destroyer This is the latest subject in the long-running Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniature Series. The Marder I was one of the early German efforts to update a military that – despite crushing early successes against Poland and the Allied early in WWII – was in sore need of mechanization. Based upon the French Lorraine supply tractor, it was one of a number of commandeered vehicles pressed into German service. Around 170 were produced from May 1942, and their 7.5cm Pak40 anti-tank gun was a threat to Allied AFVs in France post-Normandy landings, and also on the Eastern Front and even North Africa. About the Model • This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. • Tamiya designers worked up close with a specimen in the Musée de Blindés, Saumur. The result is a highly accurate depiction of the compact chassis and bulging upper hull, complete with rivet and weld line details. • Interior features gun breech detail, sights, racks, radio equipment and more. • Assembly type tracks have single piece straight sections. • Bogies have an ergonomic parts breakdown. • Two figures are pictured looking to the skies, hinting at the breakdown of air control from their Luftwaffe after the Normandy landings. • Comes with three marking options, two from Normandy and one from the Eastern Front.

Article number: 300035239 Product: 1:35 Ger. SdKfz.9 Famo 18to Halftrack(8) Art.Nr.: 300035239 Artikelbezeichnung: 1:35 WWII SdKfz.9 Famo 18to Halbkette(8) About the "Famo" In the wake of Blitzkrieg advances made by the Wehrmacht at the outbreak of WWII, the recovery of damaged or broken tanks from the battlefield proved relatively simple. After securing an area, reinforcing divisions could easily send inoperative vehicles back to the homeland for repair via railway. However, in the seesaw battles with the British Army in North Africa and against the Russian Army on the Russian front, the quick replenishment of tank strength became an indispensable element of Wehrmacht battle strategy. The utilization of the 18 ton Heavy Half-Track "Famo" proved fundamental to this strategy. The proposal for the development of the Wehrmacht half-tracks was first made in 1932. Originally, three half-tracks, designated by their towing capability (5 ton, 8 ton and 12 ton) were designed, until 1936, when a light 3 ton vehicle and a heavy 18 ton vehicle, the largest one in the Wehrmacht, were also added. The 18 ton half track was mainly developed for the towing of 21cm and 24cm artillery howitzer and of course for tank recovery. It could also be used for the transport of over 30 troops. About the Model ★1/35 plastic assembly kit of the largest half-track in the German Army. ★Overall Length: 243mm, Overall Width: 75mm. ★Highly detailed model captures the size and tank-towing power of the FAMO. ★Realistic treads and suspension. ★Synthetic rubber front tires and steerable front wheels for maximum realism. ★Rear gate and storage doors can be assembled in the open or closed position. ★Tank towing drawbar included. ★Can be assembled with or without engine side panels, revealing fully detailed engine. ★Engine can be assembled outside of FAMO. ★Eight figures (four variations) included. Article number: 300035281 Product: 1/35 WWII Ger.Sturmgeschütz III B (1) Germanys versatile Stug III was originally designed as an assault weapon, however also came to be used as a weapon of defense as the war progressed, providing both assault gun and anti-tank support. Based on the durable Panzer III chassis, the Stug III featured a monoblock structure with an L24 75mm short barreled gun mounted directly to the hull, eliminating the revolving turret and reducing overall height. The Ausf. B was the first truly mass produced Stug III with 250 produced from June 1940. Featuring wide tracks and powered by a 230hp Maybach HL 120 TRM engine the Ausf. B boasted a top speed of 40km/h. The Ausf. B saw action during the Balkans campaign in April 1941 and Operation Barbarossa in June, 1941. The simple construction leading to low costs and easy mass production made the Stug III one of Germanys most produced armored vehicles with over 10,000 produced during WWII.

1:35 German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elefant
300035325€76.99
Article number: 300035325 Product: 1/35 German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elefant This is a 1/35 scale assembly model of the German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elephant. Extensive research was conducted by Tamiya's designers to bring the modeling world the most accurate rendition to date. Historical background In 1941, Porsche created a prototype tank which incorporated radical features including a gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain. In 1943, the tank was transformed into the Ferdinand tank destroyer armed with an 8.8cm PaK 43 L/71 gun housed in a large box-shaped superstructure and 90 units were produced. During the Battle of Kursk, they demonstrated superior anti-armor capability to knock out T-34 and KV-1 tanks at long range, but their slow speed and unreliability resulted in many being immobilized by mechanical troubles. In 1944, 50 surviving Ferdinands were given modifications, including the addition of a machine gun, a commander's cupola, and were re-designated with the name Elefant. The Elefant saw combat on the Italian and Russian fronts, and some fought until the very end of WWII during the Battle of Berlin.

1:35 Israeli Tank M51 105mm
300035323€58.99
Article number: 300035323 Product: 1/35 Israeli Tank M51 105mm During the 1960's, the Israeli Ordnance Corps upgraded their M4A1 Sherman tanks by equipping them with the powerful French 105mm CN-105-F1 tank gun and they were redesignated as M51s. The larger gun meant a muzzle brake was installed to minimize the greater recoil effect and a counterweight was fitted to the rear of the turret. The 460hp diesel engine and the combination of the Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension (HVSS) and wider T80 tracks gave the M51 improved mobility. During the Six-Day War in 1967, the M51s were used against newer T-54/55 tanks as well as JS-3 tanks from Egyptian, Iraqi, and Syrian armies. The M51's 105mm gun could take on these adversaries by using HEAT ammunition. After the war, these M51s continued to serve with distinction until they were finally retired in the early 1980s. 300035330€36.99
Article number: 300035330 Product: 1:35 M561 Transport-Fahrzeug Gama Goat The M561 Gama Goat was seven years in development until production of the vehicle began in 1968. Its unique name was derived from the creator of its articulated joint, Roger Gamaunt, and its mountain goat-like climbing ability. It was unlike most other military off-road vehicles in that power could go to all 6 wheels of the vehicle, and its aforementioned articulated joint allowed 80° pitch and 60° roll ranges of the carrier module at the rear. Its excellent rough-terrain mobility was tempered somewhat by problems with tricky handling and maintenance, as well as its being rather noisy, but the Gama Goat continued in service until it was effectively replaced by the HMMWV in the late 1980s. About the Model • This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. • Length: 170mm, Width: 62mm. • The articulation joint of the M561 is recreated faithfully, and the joint on the model uses a poly-cap to accurately mimic the movement range of the real vehicle. • The model features optional front windshield and front-mounted winch parts. • The complex 6-wheel drive suspension is recreated in a single molded part without sacrificing accuracy. • 1 driver figure is included. • Comes with 3 marking options. 300035125€13.49
Article number: 300035125 Product: 1:35 US M151A2 Fiord MUTT w/TOW-Miss.(1) The familiar Jeep was born during WW2 and it is said that it contributed greatly to the allied victory during that time. Following the conflict, this vehicle was widely used by most countries of the world as a small transport for the ground forces and later employed large calibre weapons systems for ground combat support. The U.S. Army first utilized this small vehicle in ground support firepower, by mounting the newly designed 105mm recoilless rifle in the rear of the Jeep. This weapon was developed to combat heavily armoured tanks and other tracked vehicles; however it was later adapted to anti-personnel operations with the development of anti-personnel shell charges. When the newer 106mm recoilless rifle came into being, it replaced the 105. This weapons system was mounted in the rear part of the Jeep, but could be also dismounted on a tri-pod for fixed use. As the old jeep became replaced with the newer M151 Ford MUTT, the 106 was also adapted to it. When the M151A2 was released during the late 70's, the model with the 106 rifle mounted was called M825. It had a beefed up rear suspension system to accept the rifles added weight of 325kg. Shortly the TOW missile system replaced the 106 recoiless rifles, as the main anti-tank mobile weapons system. Development of the TOW system began in the 1960's as a replacement for the large and heavy recoilless rifles. It was combat tested during the Vietnam conflict and proved its power and accuracy. It was further improved and finally replaced most of the 106's still in service. Officially it is called the BGM-71A; however, it is most widely called the TOW missile system which stands for Tube launched, Optically tracked, Wire guided, missile system. When the missile is fired at a target, the shooter maintains the target in the cross hairs of the sight. The infrared rays of the missile exhaust are sensed by the optical sight and the computer compensated for the speed of the target and missile, guiding it via the wire trailing back to the vehicle. A far greater percentage of hits are recorded with this system, and it is easier to operate. Maximum range for shooting is 3750m which is much greater than the 1097m effective range of the 106. 1:35 US M151A2 Ford MUTT Truck (1)
300035123€13.99
Article number: 300035123 Product: 1/35 US M151A2 Ford MUTT Truck (1) The U.S. Armoured vehicle test course is located in Aberdeen, Maryland, and is one of the most rigorous and demanding coursed in the world. Early in April 1957, a familiar looking small vehicle was seen to be running over the course with comparitive ease, and upon closer inspection it turned out to be the replacement for the well known Willy's "Jeep", the new Ford M151. Outwardly this new vehicle loos very much like its older brother. Both are small, compact, rugged, simple to operate and maintain; however, the 151 incorporates all of the latest advanced features learned during combat operations in conflicts since world war II. Features such as the newly developed OHV engine, light semimonocoque body and 4 wheel independent suspension systems allowed it to outpoint all other submitted replacement vehicles for the ageing WWII Jeep. Development for this replacement vehicle was started by the Ford Motor Company were licensed to produce the vehicle and they delivered approximately 10,000 units a year to the U.S. Army, Navy Air Force and Marines. Shortly after its adoption it was selected by most of the nations of the free world as a replacement for their own light utility vehicles. Some of the advanced features incorporated into the M151 caused problems and defects were detected in the initial shipments, among the most serious was the strength and stability of the rear suspension system which was corrected and improved in 1964 and 1970. 1:35 US M26 Tank Recovery Vehicle (6)

Article number: 300035244 Product: 1:35 US M26 Tank Recovery Vehicle (6) Hook'em up, Tow'em out! It was a clash that would shape the future of Europe and the rest of the world for years to come. The Allied Liberation of Europe began on the June 6th, 1944, on the beaches of Normandy, and lasted until Germany's surrender on May 9th, 1945. The Sherman tanks of the U.S. Army began their steady advance into the European mainland, wrenching Europe piece-by-piece from the clutches of Germany. However, the massive tanks of the Wehrmacht such as Tiger and Panther would prove overpowering against the agile, yet considerably smaller Shermans. One of the major factors that allowed the Allies' advance to continue despite this disparity in power was the quick recovery and repair of battle damaged tanks. That is where the M26 Armored Tank Recovery Vehicles and their brave crews came in. The M26 first saw action on the Italian Front of 1943, and was later extensively used in the inland advancement of the Allies following the Invasion at Normandy. In all kinds of weather, in the middle of the night, or under a barrage of enemy fire, the repair crews continually fulfilled their duty to recover and repair damaged tanks. Article number: 300035363 Product: 1:35 US M3A1 Scout Car This is a scale model replica of the M3A1 Scout Car. It promises to be a great stand-alone model or make for an essential diorama piece in a bigger modeling project. Around 21,000 of the actual car were built, a vital cog in the setup of U.S. forces and those Allies (Britain, Soviet Union, Free France, China and more) who received it under "lend-lease." Lightly protected with mainly 6.4mm armor, with a top road speed of 80km/h, it had one 12.7mm and two 7.62mm machine guns, could seat six in addition to a driver and commander, and was often deployed in recon and command car roles, in North Africa, Sicily, and on the Eastern Front. 1:35 US M40 155mm Howitzer SPG (8)
300035351€92.99
Article number: 300035351 Product: 1:35 US M40 155mm Howitzer SPG (8) This is an assembly model of the U.S. Self-Propelled 155mm M40. It is a never before seen subject in the Tamiya line-up of 1/35 scale models. The kit uses all new tooling with the exception of the suspension parts as they are from the M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" model kit. The M40 was a significant step in U.S. Army artillery mechanization, pairing the M1 155mm gun with the proven M4 Sherman chassis. Armor was light given its intended use as a long range weapon (they were effective up to 23.5km) away from the front line, while the layout was changed from the M4 to allow a big fighting compartment at the rear to accommodate the big gun. It was fitted with smooth horizontal volute spring suspension (HVSS). Over 400 were produced before the end of WWII; although they never fought in the conflict, one example of their T83 prototype did. The M40 served in the Korean War, and was eventually replaced by the M53. Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.
