The origin of the Jeep vehicle dates back to early 1941, when U.S. Forces ordered the Willys, Ford, and Bantam companies to develop prototypes of a small sized multi-purpose 4-wheel drive vehicle. During the early stage of WW2, Germany had achieved outstanding successes by using motorized troops with their "Blitzkrieg" tactics. It became a pressing need for allied nations to possess tough and reliable vehicles with excellent cross-country ability. In November 1941, the Army, with alterations on the front grille and hood to the Ford design, chose the Willy"s vehicle as the basis for the mass production model. This marked the birth of the Willys MB (Model B) that provided unmatched ability to transport Allied troops during the conflict. The early Willys MB had a welded, slat type front grille. Due to the necessity of increasing production, the Army ordered Ford to join the mass production using the Willys MB"s blueprints. It was designated the GPW, and a simple, pressed steelfront grille was introduced. During WW2, the Willys MB and Ford GPW ran over every battlefield. As a means of transit for soldiers, it played an important role in bringing the Allied victory. It was also used for liason, command, communication and sometimes even as an ambulance for a light firearms carrier. Production reached approximately 640,000 units by August 1945. Warning! In 1939, BSA began production of a military version of their M20 commercial motorcycle that was fitted with a Lucas light and other additional equipment. It was powered by a 12hp single-cylinder 500cc side-valve engine and offered superb reliability and ease of maintenance. Modifications were made during the course of the production and late-war motorcycles featured an air filter fitted onto the fuel tank. Over 126,000 units were produced during the war and most of them were deployed with the British Army. They saw service on every front for a wide range of duties including liaison and supply convoy escort. Some were also used by the RAF and British Navy. Article number: 300032519 Product: 1:48 US M10 Mid Production Between 1941 and 1942 the M3 self-propelled gun was the backbone of the US anti-tank division. Consisting of the M3 half-track with mounted 36 caliber 75 mm anti-tank gun, it proved ineffective in fighting German armour, calling for a more manoeuvrable tank destroyer with increased firepower. In November 1941 a prototype T35 tank destroyer was manufactured. Officially adopted in June 1942 under the designation M10, it was the US Army's first full-track tank destroyer. The M10 had the lower chassis from the M4A2 Sherman, but was fitted with a lower, redesigned upper section. Designed for maximum manoeuvrability, the M10's armour was relatively thin. To compensate for this weakness, an angled chassis was chosen to increase bullet deflection. A 50 caliber M7 3-inch (76.2 mm) cannon was mounted in the rotating, open-topped turret. Firing M62 capped armour-piercing shells (APC), the M7 3 gun could penetrate 88 mm armour at a range of 1000 m with an impact angle of up to 30 degrees. The M10 featured a GMC 6064 (or 6064D) 2-stroke water-cooled diesel engine that produced 375hp for a top speed of 48 km/h. The M10 was fitted with a counterweight at the rear of the turret, with early designs carrying box weights and later triangular weights. Pro-duced by Henschel, it was based on the King Tiger's chassis and featured a long barreled 12.8cm gun which showed great offensive capabilities being able to knock out Allied tanks from a great distances. Along with its new design, the large sized fixed fighting compartment was given a 250mm thick front defensive armament which was unique to this tank. First appearing at the Ardennes offensive in December 1944, the Jagdtiger mostly fought against Allied forces in Western Germany from January 1945. The Panzer I designed as a training tank, did not have the adequate performance, so a light tank was needed to full the gap until the Panzer III could be introduced. Therefore, the German Ordnance Department issued a request for a new training tank that could be used for combat. In the end, MAN was chosen in 1934 to produce the Panzer II, a compact 4.8m long, 2.2m wide design with a three man crew. The 8.9 ton tank featured a 2cm Kwk 30 L/55 cannon and 7.92mm machine gun in the turret, 15mm armor protection for turret and hull front, leaf spring suspension, and a 140hp Maybach HL 62 TRM engine matched with a ZF SSG46 transmission, which gave it a 40km/h top speed. The Ausf. A was produced from 1937, followed by the Ausf. B and C, which were difficult to distinguish from each other visually. About 1,100 Panzer tanks were produced by April 1940, and due to delays with the Panzer III, they were immediately issued as the Panzer divisions' main tank for the invasion of Poland in September 1939. Based on lessons learned on the battlefields of Poland and, in May 1940, France, improvements such as extra armor and a turret cupola were added, and the Panzer II went on to serve in North Africa and Russia in front line and liaison and reconnaissance duties until the end of 1943. Afterwards, they were used to police occupied territories and the chassis was also adapted for use as the basis for various self-propelled gun designs. Warning! It is a complete new kit with updated details compared to the Stuart model that has been offered for decades. The M3 Stuart was manufactured from March 1943 onwards and deployed not only by U.S. forces; it also saw action in Soviet colors. The late production variant of the tank had a rounded turret design with the cupola removed. It used a 37mm main gun, with numerous 7.62mm machine guns: one coaxial to the main gun, one on the front, on the turret and in the side sponson’s on certain variants.

Introduced as an upgraded version of the original Char B1, which was developed in the nineteen twenties, the B1 bis entered production in 1937. The rivet-joined hull mounted a short-barreled 75mm howitzer, while a small, one-man turret carried a longer-barreled 47mm tank gun. The B1 bis was one of the most heavily armored tanks of its time, with plating that was 60mm thick in places, more than capable of defending against anti-tank fire such as that from 37mm Pak guns. The B1 bis could more than hold its own against individual German tanks, and was greatly feared by enemy soldiers who encountered it. Although its purpose was to provide aerial defense against Allied aircraft attack from a grounded position, it was also seen used with trucks and other land vehicles as well on warships. Features of the model including the skyward aimed gun barrels, ammunition cartridges, operating handles, pedals etc. have all been realistically reproduced. This subject in fact started life as a light tank developed for Czechoslovakia, but was adopted and renamed 38(t) by German forces after their occupation of the country in 1939. It was equipped with a 3.7cm main gun and could reach speeds of up to 42km/h powered by the 125hp engine. A number of variants were produced, of which the Ausf. E/F 38(t)s were manufactured over a one-year period from November 1940; they featured improved armor and were thrown into the conflict with Soviet forces after the start of Operation Barbarossa. • This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. • Tamiya designers studied a real 38(t) in the Kubinka Tank Museum, getting the data to make this highlyaccurate model with detail right down to the rivets. • The turret front left sight moves in conjunction with the 3.7cm gun. • Features a realistic recreation of the suspension with large road wheels and upper return rollers. • Assembly type tracks give natural recreation of the upper run ‘sag.’. The Leopard 2 A7V is an improved version of A7 (A7 is improved version of A6 and the "V" in the A7V designation stands for "verbessert" (improved) ), and features additional hull front armor and side skirts for improved defense. The suspension was also improved to help deal with the tank’s extra weight. The A7V inherits the A6’s L/55 120mm gun, but with the updated shell, the A7V can take on enemy armor up to five kilometers away. Units began receiving the A7V in September, 2021 and A7Vs saw further improvements such as turret-top stowage boxes and main sight visor. Tamiya is delighted to announce its maiden foray into the world of WWI models, in the year which marks the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of hostilities in what was then known as the Great War. The tanks which appeared in the conflict were the first ever seen on the battlefield, and were the forerunners of a whole line of military vehicles which is still being developed further today. The Mk.IV tank was a successor to the Mk.I, which was drawn up by British designers in attempt to break the stalemate of trench warfare experienced on the Western Front; the rhombus-shaped hull was designed to aid in crossing the extensive network of trenches. The Mk.I, first thrown into live action in September 1916 during the Battle of the Somme, had "male" (fitted with 57mm, 6-pound guns) and "female" (fitted only with machine guns) versions. Around 1,000 Mk.IV tanks were manufactured after 1917, and they inherited their shape and male/female weaponry and classifications from the Mk.I, but with significantly upgraded armor. Around 400 were used en masse in the November 1917 Battle of Cambrai to great effect, and with the world cottoning on to the new vehicle’s potential the maiden tank vs. tank battle was not far behind: in 1918, the Mk.IV faced off against its German counterpart the AV7. The full size vehicle featured an 8.8cm gun also known as a PAK 43 and it was fitted to the upper surface of a light turret less chassis. Even though the vehicle was lightly armored, the PAK43 weapon was capable of penetrating 190mm of armor at 1,000 meters. The Nashorn saw action with German heavy antitank battalions fighting Soviet and Allied forces during much of the conflict. Due to its relatively low cost and superior mobility compared to heavier tanks it remained in production until the end of the WWII war. Decals included. The Sturmtiger was a seldom-seen variant of the Tiger I, using existing chassis and suspension to mount a mammoth 38cm caliber mortar for use against buildings and other fortifications in urban warfare. Only an estimated 18 were ever produced, between August and December 1944, and they were somewhat unwieldy in that they weighed around 65 tons. Nonetheless, they would still have proved a frightening foe to those who encountered them in the Battle of the Bulge, the Warsaw Uprising and the invasion of the German homeland. Warning!
